πŸš‚ All Aboard! Our Exciting Visit to the Railway Station πŸš‰

Categories :

We had a wonderful time visiting the railway station and exploring the exciting world of trains! πŸš†πŸ˜Š The children were full of curiosity as we watched the trains arriving, stopping and travelling through the station.

During our visit, we talked about different modes of transport and how people travel from one place to another. πŸšŒπŸš—πŸš‚ The children enjoyed watching the trains closely and noticing that not all trains are the same. We talked about the difference between city trains and stopping trains, learning that some trains travel between cities while others stop at lots of different stations along their journey. πŸ—ΊοΈπŸš‰

One of the highlights was experiencing the trains as they travelled past us. The children loved hearing the loud sounds of the trains and feeling the breeze as they went past. πŸ’¨πŸš† There was lots of excitement and plenty of smiles!

We also took the opportunity to look at the railway signals and traffic lights 🚦 and talked about how they help to keep passengers, pedestrians and trains safe. This was a lovely opportunity to encourage the children to think about the world around them and how different systems work.

A very special part of our visit was meeting a member of staff at the ticket office, who kindly gave us some train tickets. 🎫❀️ The children were delighted! We brought the tickets back with us so that we could use them in our own train role-play, allowing the children to recreate their experiences and continue their learning through imaginative play. πŸš‚πŸŽ

This visit provided so many wonderful opportunities for communication and language, understanding the world, social development and imaginative play. The children were encouraged to ask questions, share their ideas, learn new vocabulary and make connections between what they saw during our visit and their own experiences. πŸŒπŸ’¬
